Tool and Die Futures Initiative
IntroductionTool and Die Futures Initiative is established to provide the knowledge and structure needed to successfully shift participating members thinking and actions, and make this industry competitive. Developed as part of the Center for Integrated Business Research and Education at Oakland University's School of Business Administration, the TDFI is charged with implementing the action items identified at the Nov. 17, 2009, TDF Dialog. For more information, review the TDF Dialog Summary.
Participating members will benefit from the education and information on best practices, as well as conduct benchmarking to establish best practices. The participating members can also become a part of “TDF Collaborative" (TDFC), which will allow participating members to share resources and competencies, collectively bid on projects in other sectors such as defense, energy and aerospace, and continue to support innovation in the tool and die industry.
