A donation from the SIM (Society for Information Management) combined with a matching contribution from Craig Stinson, chair, Board of Visitors for Oakland University's School of Business Administration provided the seed money that has allowed the SBA's Center for Integrated Business Research and Education to initiate several small pilot TDFI projects that also involve business students.Any donations made to CIBRE in support of Tool and Die Futures Initiative will be applied to support some of the project execution. A TDF Foundation is being formed to solicit contributions that will be used exclusively to support select projects that are designed to make the small manufacturing industry competitive.
