Current Projects

  • With the assistance of MBA students from Oakland University's School of Business Administration, the SBA's Center for Integrated Business Research and Education helped launch the Stamping Solutions Group – Advancing manufacturing through integration and innovation
  • Development of a system to integrate robotics into tool and die / job shop milling to dramatically improve machine utilization and reduce machining costs. This is a pilot project, being developed to enable a way to make robotics feasible, efficient, and affordable for the tool and die, mold and low-volume job shop environment
  • Development of a business model to establish a collaborative that can work together to compete in the market place by providing solutions to its customers. The Stamping Solutions Group is one such example, where stampers and tool-die companies can work together in providing a solution.
  • Development of a cost-model and benchmarking system that enables companies to understand their level of global competitiveness so they may accurately know how to move forward and find ways to be competitive and profitable
  • Develop a web-based quoting system for tier one and OEM companies to be able to quickly get die cost estimates as a tool in the quoting and part optimization process
  • Work with tooling company, Jacar System, in preparing a marketing strategy and a business plan
